Job summary

Nel Hydrogen is seeking an experienced Finance Manager to lead financial reporting, planning and governance in Norway, with responsibility for the Accounting Centre. You will partner with operational management to turn data into actionable insights and support key business decisions.

You will lead a small finance team, drive continuous improvement of processes and systems, and ensure accurate closing and compliance across Norwegian entities.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Finance preferred, but a Bachelor's degree with extensive relevant experience may be considered.
• 5–8+ years of finance, accounting, audit or controlling experience, including people or team leadership.
• Strong experience with financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, cost control and internal controls.
• Experience partnering with operational stakeholders and translating financial information into actionable insights.
• Demonstrated ability to manage, coordinate and develop a small finance or accounting team.
• Strong ERP, Excel and reporting-tool capabilities.
• Good communication skills in Norwegian and English.

Responsibilities

• Lead financial reporting and closing activities, ensuring accurate monthly, quarterly and annual reporting.
• Lead the Accounting Centre in Norway, coordinating accounting and reporting across Norwegian entities.
• Drive budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis and cost control, identifying key financial drivers, risks and opportunities.
• Partner with operational management, turning financial information into clear insights and supporting business cases and investments.
• Ensure strong financial governance including internal controls, balance sheet integrity, audits and compliance.
• Lead, coach and develop the finance team, setting priorities and ensuring timely delivery.
• Drive continuous improvement in finance processes, systems, reporting and data quality.
