Job summary

KONGSBERG søker en Feltservicetekniker til Kongsberg Discovery i Horten. Du vil være ansvarlig for installasjon og igangkjøring av undervannssystemer på fartøy og verft, samt service og vedlikehold av installerte systemer globalt. Rollen innebærer omfattende reise og kunderelasjoner.

Du bør ha ingeniørbakgrunn (B.Sc/B.Eng) i elektronikk/instrumentering/informatikk eller høyere, og være motivert for internasjonalt støttearbeid. Både erfarne og mindre erfarne søkere oppfordres til å søke.

Kongsberg Discovery, Customer Support, Ocean Technology is responsible for technical advisory, support, and training on our products within Mapping, Positioning and Monitoring and Ocean Science. Our goal is to provide the best possible support and services to fulfil our customer needs the best possible way. To further strengthen our team, we are looking for a Field Service Engineer to join us at Kongsberg Discovery in Horten. As a Field Service Engineer your main task will be traveling, you will do installation and commissioning of Underwater Acoustic systems on vessels and in shipyards around the world. You will do service and maintenance on installed systems on sailing ships and offshore installations. As well as offer in-house technical support and remote service to external and internal customers when not traveling. Our Field Service Engineers are at the front line when representing KONGSBERG to our worldwide customers. What you will be doing

• Commissioning, maintenance, and service jobs worldwide
• Technical support and on-call/remote service
• Approximate average travel days per year in the department is 120 days

What we're looking for

• Engineer (B.Sc/B.Eng) in electronics/instrumentation/computer science or higher professional degree.
• Good IT/PC/network skills
• Good communication skills in English and Norwegian. Both oral and written
• Highly motivated for worldwide support activities
• Experienced and non-experienced engineers are encouraged to apply
