The City of Victoria is seeking an Assistant Director of Facilities Management to lead a complex portfolio of civic buildings. You will drive operations, planning, and financial stewardship while guiding large teams in a collaborative, service-focused public environment.

Ideal candidates bring a decade of management experience in facilities and asset management, with relevant certifications and a strong emphasis on stakeholder engagement and risk-aware decision-making.

Qualifications

• Ten years of progressively responsible management experience in facilities, construction, project management, and asset management within a public-facing environment.
• Diploma in a discipline related to facilities management.
• PMP certification recommended for the role.
• Asset Management Planning Certification preferred.

Responsabilités

• Oversee custodial services, security, access control, building maintenance and asset management.
• Lead facilities planning, renewal projects, procurement and contract management.
• Manage operating and capital budgets with a focus on financial stewardship.
• Provide leadership to a large union and non-union workforce; foster a high-performing culture.
• Develop workplans aligned with asset management and organizational goals; mitigate risks.
