Job summary

Future Engineering Recruitment Ltd in Oslo, Norway is seeking an experienced Estimator to support major data centre projects. You will work with pre-construction, design, procurement and commercial teams to develop accurate estimates and cost plans, from tender through to award.

Based in the Oslo office, you will review drawings, prepare detailed cost estimates, perform quantity take-offs and issue enquiries to subs and suppliers, contributing to competitive bids and successful project delivery.

Qualifications

• Experience estimating in construction, engineering or building services.
• Experience preparing tenders for major or complex projects.
• Data centre, manufacturing, industrial or large infrastructure experience is advantageous.
• Related qualification in construction/engineering/quantity surveying preferred.
• Norwegian or EU/EEA working rights.
• Willingness to relocate to Oslo.

Are you an experienced Estimator looking to play a key role in the commercial planning of major data centre developments in Norway?

Join an established international contractor delivering technically complex projects for leading global clients. Based in the Oslo office, you'll work closely with the pre-construction, design, procurement and commercial teams to produce accurate and competitive estimates for major construction packages.

You'll be involved from the early tender stages, reviewing project information, identifying commercial risks and developing cost plans that support successful project delivery.

This is an exciting opportunity to strengthen your experience within the rapidly growing data centre sector and progress towards Senior Estimator, Estimating Manager or wider pre-construction leadership.

Your role as an Estimator will include:

• Reviewing drawings, specifications, tender documents and scopes of work
• Preparing detailed cost estimates for major construction packages
• Completing quantity take-offs and developing bills of quantities
• Issuing enquiries to subcontractors and suppliers
• Analysing quotations and preparing commercial comparisons

As an Estimator, you will need:

• Previous estimating experience within construction, engineering or building services
• Experience preparing tenders for major or technically complex projects
• Data centre, advanced manufacturing, industrial or major infrastructure experience would be advantageous
• A construction, engineering or quantity surveying qualification would be beneficial
• Norwegian or EU/EEA working rights
• Willingness to relocate and work from the Oslo office
