No prior experience is required as on-the-job training will be provided, and accommodation is included as part of the package. Responsibilities include helping patrons locate resources, supporting circulation tasks, and contributing to programming and collection development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred but not required.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

• Basic computer skills for using library systems and databases.
• Enthusiasm for reading and promoting literacy.

Responsibilities

• Assist with organizing and maintaining library materials, including books, periodicals, and audiovisual materials.
• Provide support to patrons by helping them find resources and answering reference questions.
• Assist with circulation tasks such as checking out books and processing returns.
• Provide excellent customer service to all library users.
• Participate in collection development by recommending new materials for acquisition.
• Keep accurate records of library usage statistics.
• Assist with programming and events, such as storytimes and book clubs.
• Stay up-to-date on library policies, procedures, and services.
