n8n is a workflow automation platform that uniquely combines AI capabilities with business process automation. We give technical teams the flexibility of code with the speed of no-code, backed by a passionate community of builders. With 500+ integrations and fair-code principles, we're revolutionizing how businesses connect their systems and processes. We were founded end of 2019 and currently:

  • We’re a diverse team of +140 talented people
  • Our annual recurring revenue is growing over 9x year-over-year
  • With +130k GitHub stars, we are in the top 50 most popular projects of all time on Github
  • We were the 25th fastest growing startup last year and 4th B2B SaaS Rising 100 this year in Europe according to Sifted
  • We were Sequoia's first seed investment in Germany, and most recently secured our $60M Series B (February \'25, led by Highland)

Your main goal will be to build and lead n8n’s second Enterprise Features engineering team, accelerating the delivery of enterprise-grade capabilities such as advanced security, compliance, scalability, and reliability.

Responsibilities
  • Lead & Grow the Enterprise Features Team
  • Directly manage and mentor a team of engineers (3–4 initially, scaling to 6+)
  • Set clear goals and maintain high technical and delivery standards
  • Foster a culture of accountability, autonomy, and collaboration
  • Drive Enterprise-Grade Feature Delivery
  • Oversee design, development, and release of critical enterprise features
  • Contribute hands-on (10–20%) to set technical direction and review code
  • Ensure robust, scalable, and reliable implementations that meet customer needs
  • Enable Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Act as a bridge between engineering and enterprise-facing teams
  • Translate enterprise customer requirements into actionable solutions
  • Align with Product, Solutions Engineering, and Customer Success on priorities
  • Champion Quality & Process Excellence
  • Establish engineering best practices and enterprise-grade processes
  • Guarantee rigorous standards for security, compliance, and reliability
  • Continuously improve workflows to maximize team performance and delivery
Must-haves
  • Proven leadership of high-performing engineering teams (3–6+ engineers) working in a cross-functional team with product and design
  • Recognized as a bar raiser in previous roles — raising technical and execution standards (from quality to speed of delivery)
  • Product mindset with a strong bias to deliver what ads value to our customers. We also expect someone in this role to enjoy talking to customers to deeply understand their pains
  • Strong technical skills in at least one modern programming language (ideally TypeScript/Node.js)
  • Experience in startup or fast-moving environments, ideally in B2B SaaS or complex technical products (automation, devtools, integrations)
  • Excellent communicator and collaborator across technical and non-technical teams, as well as customers & users
Nice-to-haves
  • Experience building enterprise-grade features (security, compliance, scalability)
  • Prior founder experience or entrepreneurial background
  • Remote-first leadership experience
