Job summary

Izomax AS in Stavanger, Norway is hiring an Engineer to strengthen our Technical Team. You will design, develop, and review fabrication documentation while upholding the highest quality standards, and act as a key liaison between clients and suppliers.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent.
  • Experience in Oil & Gas preferred.
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Familiarity with ISO and P&ID is desirable.

You’re a skilled and dedicated Engineer who thrive in a collaborative environment. In this role, you will be responsible for a range of tasks, including designing, developing, and reviewing fabrication documentation while ensuring the highest standards of quality control. You will also serve as a key liaison between clients and suppliers. Additionally, this position offers the opportunity to participate in on-site activities, such as field engineering and surveys, both onshore and offshore.

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will be responsible for:

  • Performing detailed design and construction of tools and systems, including custom-based design, based on skills and experience
  • Developing and reviewing fabrication, engineering, project, maintenance, and user documentation
  • Performing basic engineering calculations and providing design input for tenders and projects
  • Providing input to procurement, project cost, and planning activities
  • Following up supplier quality, performing QC on received parts, and following up assembly and testing activities in the Izomax Workshop
  • Performing surveys and actively participating throughout projects to ensure execution readiness in all project phases
  • Following up and taking an active part in IK HSE&Q policies and requirements, including SJA and other relevant risk mitigation activities
  • Understanding and acting according to Izomax Core Values and Mission & Statement
Qualifications and Expectations

To succeed in this role, you should have:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent.
  • Relevant experience, preferably within the Oil & Gas industry, showcasing a solid foundation in engineering practices.
  • Excellent communication skills, enabling effective collaboration with diverse teams.
  • Knowledge of Autodesk Inventor CAD or other 3D CAD systems, showcasing your capability to leverage these tools effectively.
  • ISO and P&ID knowledge is desirable.
