Job summary

Central Maine Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department. This facility offers Full Time, Part Time, and Per Diem positions with Day and Night shifts. Schedule: 3 x 12 hour shifts.

Pay ranges from $37.00 to $51.28 per hour, with gross pay per 12-hour shift before taxes. Responsibilities include delivering safe patient care, utilizing the nursing process, and guiding patient/family teaching while coordinating with physicians.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN License.
• Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• Current ACLS certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
• Current PALS certificate and/or ENPC 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
• Basic Arrhythmia Interpretation within 30 days of hire.
• Minimum of one year experience as a staff nurse RN in an acute care hospital setting; ER setting preferred.
• Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN) preferred.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.

Responsibilities

• The Registered Nurse is responsible for the delivery of safe patient care utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation.
• Provides direct patient care within the scope of practice.
• Directs and guides patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel while maintaining standards of professional nursing care in Telemetry.
