Job summary

Tenth Revolution Group in Oslo is seeking an experienced Android platform engineer to work on embedded products, not traditional app development. You will impact device performance, reliability, security, and user experience across platform layers.

You will collaborate with hardware, firmware and software teams to deliver production-ready solutions, tackle complex platform-level challenges, and optimise across Android framework, services, middleware, HAL, and kernel interfaces.

Qualifications

• Strong C/C++ development experience.
• Experience with embedded systems or platform software.
• Understanding of operating systems, hardware integration, and system architecture.
• Ability to debug issues across multiple software layers.

Responsibilities

• Developing and maintaining customised Android platform software.
• Working across Android framework, services, middleware, HAL, and kernel interfaces.
• Integrating hardware components including cameras, audio, sensors, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.
• Designing and implementing platform-level features and system services.
• Optimising performance, stability, and reliability of embedded devices.
• Supporting device security and system hardening initiatives.
• Collaborating with hardware, firmware, and software teams to deliver production-ready solutions.
• Troubleshooting complex issues across multiple layers of the software stack.
