INSCALE in Oslo is seeking a Senior/Mid Android Developer to help build next generation apps and shape the Android discipline across client projects. You will own Android platforms, mentor teammates, and collaborate with designers, product, backend engineers, and clients to deliver high-quality apps.

The role emphasizes Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, MVVM and Clean Architecture, staying updated on platform changes, and contributing to standards, testing, and performance optimization.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of Android development experience with Kotlin.
• Experience with Jetpack Compose and Android SDK.
• Strong understanding of Android app lifecycle and MVVM/ Clean Architecture.
• Experience with Jetpack components (ViewModel, Navigation, Room, DataStore, WorkManager).
• Knowledge of Coroutines, Flow, and DI (Hilt/Koin).
• Experience integrating RESTful APIs and handling JSON data.
• Familiarity with unit testing and writing scalable code.
• Experience with accessibility and universal design.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and improve native Android apps using Kotlin and Jetpack Compose.
• Mentor Android developers and foster technical growth.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate ideas into high-quality implementations.
• Contribute to architecture discussions and best practices.
