Job summary

BaseForce in Svalbard is hiring an Elevator Installer to join our field team. You will install, maintain, and repair elevator systems across buildings, with visa sponsorship and a full-time schedule in a challenging Arctic environment.

No prior experience is required, but a high school diploma and basic reading of blueprints plus strong mechanical aptitude are expected. We provide ongoing training, career advancement, and a diverse, supportive workplace.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical manuals.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with basic construction or related field preferred.
• Physically capable of lifting heavy objects and working at heights.

Responsibilities

• Install elevator systems according to blueprints and specifications.
• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on existing elevators.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with elevator systems.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards.
• Communicate with clients to provide updates on installation or repair progress.
• Maintain accurate records of work performed.
