As Aker Solutions’ global recruitment partner NES Advantage is now looking for: Electrical PRD Engineer for exciting projects in Bergen.

Aker Solutions take care of energy assets in a Life Cycle perspective. From the start to end of production Aker Solutions ensures safe operations, optimizes field utilization, and enables field life-extensions. We do business development and execute modifications and maintenance projects. There is a global trend towards decarbonization, and we aim to help our customers to decarbonize their operations and measure their emissions to manage them more efficiently, for instance by delivering brownfield electrification of existing offshore facilities.

What will you be doing?

  • Serve as Discipline Task Responsible within electrical engineering
  • Perform system engineering and electrical design work, including cable calculations and preparation of documentation
  • Develop requisitions and specifications for procurement of electrical packages and equipment, and follow up vendors throughout delivery
  • Review and approve supplier documentation for electrical systems such as 690/400V distribution boards, UPS systems, transformers, and variable speed drives
  • Prepare documentation for onshore installation, including drawings, data sheets, and engineering work packages
  • Estimate cost and weight in a multidisciplinary environment
  • Contribute to efficient project execution and ensure high-quality deliverables aligned with customer expectations

We think you should have:

  • 3–5 years of engineering experience and relevant background from EPCI projects within the oil & gas sector
  • Experience from Mongstad is an advantage
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering (relevant experience may compensate for formal education)
  • Solid understanding of ATEX requirements and ATEX-certified equipment
  • Proficiency in Norwegian, English, or other Scandinavian languages
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work independently
  • Accurate, flexible, and well-organized mindset with a proactive and service-oriented approach
