Job summary

Omega 365 Consulting is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer for our Bergen office to support projects in the oil, gas, and offshore sectors. You will contribute to CTR activities, perform electrical field engineering, and manage installation-related work packages on fixed platforms.

You will work closely with rig crews and project teams to deliver on time and within budget, including documentation and cost reporting. Offshore experience and EX/ATEX training are highly valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in electrical engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in electrical engineering.
• Experience with offshore drilling facilities and fixed platforms preferred.
• ATEX/EX training and familiarity with relevant regulations is advantageous.
• Knowledge of petroleum industry standards (PTIL, NORSOK, OLF, DNV, IEC).
• Experience with power distribution, load calculations, and drilling equipment.
• Experience with project deliveries and customer expectations.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to CTR activities and bid efforts for installation and projects.
• Perform electrical field engineering and manage work packages.
• Conduct offshore surveys and installation follow-up; document and report progress.
• Coordinate with rig crew and installation teams; ensure timely delivery within budget.
• Report costs, progress, and deviations to the technical lead or project managers.

Assignment Description

• Our client are looking for an experienced Electrical Engineer at their office in Bergen with the “can do” spirit that is motivated by challenges in a hectic working environment.
• Contribute in CTR-activities/bid, both installation and project related
• Study and project execution within drilling facilities on fixed platforms
• Electrical field engineering
• Work packages
• Installation follow-up, red mark-up documentation, final documentation
• Offshore surveys, installation follow up or yard stay can be actual
• Coordination and cooperation with rig crew and ongoing installation work
• Contribute to project(s) and deliver on time and budget assigned work tasks
• Report costs, progress and deviation to technical lead/package engineer or project managers

Qualifications

• Technical, bachelor’s or master’s degree within electrical engineering (or equivalent) with minimum 5 years’ experience
• Experience can compensate for lack of formal education
• Additional electrician certificate is an advantage.
• Experience/ Knowledge
• Knowledge of the Petroleum industry standards, rules and regulations such as PTIL, NORSOK, ATEX, OLF, DNV and IEC.
• Experience with modification work at fixed drilling units on NCS
• Preferable experience within some or all of the following areas:
• Power distribution systems with load calculations
• 3.rd party hookup and documentation (Z015N)
• Drilling equipment and systems
• Winterization, heat tracing with power distribution
• Engineering and design of the above mentioned
• Trained for and experienced with EX, Exi and ATEX equipment and regulations
• Experience with project deliveries and key customers’ expectations
• Experience with all relevant laws, regulations and standards according above mentioned topics
• Offshore training + heath certificate
• Preferable familiar with following programs:
• Febdok
• Client systems like PIMS, SAP, Stid, Stidloop, Procosys, and others
• MS Office software
