Job summary

VDL Bus Norway AS invites applications for a skilled heavy vehicle mechanic to join our Oslo South workshop. The role involves maintenance, repair and diagnostic work on our VDL fleet, including fully electric buses, with a focus on quality and teamwork.

The successful candidate will have formal heavy vehicle mechanic training, practical experience, and good English communication. Norwegian language skills are a plus, and some shifts are expected in a modern, supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Has education as a heavy vehicle mechanic (or related field).
• Minimum of 3 years of experience is an advantage.
• Experience with troubleshooting and the use of modern diagnostic equipment.
• Proficient in English, both written and spoken; knowledge of Norwegian is an advantage.
• Holds a class D driver’s license – this is an advantage.
• Ability to understand technological issues; solution‑oriented and structured.
• Can work independently and in a team; focused on quality and teamwork.
