Job summary

Guardian Secure Services is seeking a compassionate caregiver to support elderly individuals in Svalbard. You will assist with daily living tasks, medication reminders, meal prep, and light housekeeping, while providing companionship and safe mobility support.

The role is full-time with a monthly salary of 1,300 USD, including visa sponsorship for non-natives of Svalbard and accommodations. We welcome applicants of all genders and value diverse backgrounds.

Qualifications

Experience as caregiver is preferred but not required.
Strong communication skills and ability to provide emotional support to clients.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and assist with mobility.

Responsibilities

Assist with daily living activities including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
Administer medication reminders as directed by a healthcare professional.
Prepare nutritious meals and snacks according to dietary restrictions.
Perform light housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and safe environment for the client.
Provide companionship and engage in meaningful activities with the client.
Accompany client to appointments or recreational outings as needed.
Document and report any changes in the client's condition or behavior to the appropriate parties.
