Job summary

RetailHub Sourcing is seeking a caregiver for the elderly in Svalbard to provide compassionate and professional care to our senior residents. You will support daily activities, manage medications, and help maintain independence while ensuring dignity.

You will work closely with a team of healthcare professionals to promote physical, emotional, and social well-being in a northern Arctic setting, with accommodation and visa sponsorship provided. A competitive monthly salary of 1,400 USD is offered.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a caregiver or similar role is preferred but not required.
• Compassionate nature with an interest in working with the elderly.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Good communication skills in English (knowledge of other languages is an asset).
• Ability to demonstrate patience, understanding, and empathy towards seniors.

• Assisting with personal care tasks such at bathing, dressing, and grooming.
• Administering medication according to prescribed schedules
• Monitoring vital signs and reporting any changes or concerns to the nurse on duty
• Assisting with mobility and transferring residents safely
• Providing companionship and engaging in meaningful activities with residents
• Keeping accurate records of care provided and reporting any incidents or concerns to the supervisor
• Maintaining a clean and safe environment for residents
• Communicating effectively with residents, their families, and other healthcare professionals
