Job summary

Jones Engineering seeks an EHS Lead to ensure facility/project compliance with EHS standards, client requirements, and legal obligations. You will develop and implement the JEG safety management system on site, conduct risk assessments, investigate incidents, and drive audits and training.

Qualifications

• 5 years of experience in a similar role.
• Level 7 or 8 National Framework Qualification equivalent.
• Strong client interfacing skills.
• Strong written and verbal, organisational and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient in MS Office.
• Strong ability to influence without authority.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement the JEG safety management system on site.
• Implement RAMS, HIRA, Safe Plans of Action, Pre Start Plans.
• Conduct root cause analysis (5 Whys) to prevent recurrence.
• Lead site audits to monitor compliance.
• Develop and deliver safety training to personnel.
• Drive Safety Observation Reports on site to reduce risk.
• Maintain RAMS, audits, incidents and other safety docs.
• Use JEG IT platforms to record and interpret safety data for decisions.
• Develop and drill site emergency scenarios (fires, falls, etc.).
• Coach workers to own safety.
• Communicate complex risks to senior leadership with business impact.
• Manage environmental aspects per ISO 14001.
• Oversee health programs and campaigns.
• Liaise with government agencies and ensure permits are up-to-date.
• Provide guidance on deliverables with limited oversight.
• Contribute to direction on equipment/process/standards based on site strategy.
• Develop solutions and improvements to processes and systems.
