Job summary

FPS Distribution Ltd invites applications for a Driver/Warehouse Operative to join our busy branch. The role combines driving duties with warehousing tasks, including loading, unloading, and ensuring accurate order picking and timely deliveries.

Ideal candidates will hold a Full UK Driving Licence, have good timekeeping, and be flexible to cover early shifts and occasional Saturdays. Training will be provided on safety and stock control.

Qualifications

• Experience in warehouse or vehicle parts is preferred.
• Valid UK driving licence is required.
• Flexibility to cover shifts and weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

• Driver: Pack and load products onto vans according to company’s specifications.
• Driver: Deliver orders to customers on assigned routes.
• Driver: Maintain ongoing communication with route dispatcher.
• Driver: Unload goods as per client specifications.
• Driver: Review deliveries with customers to ensure products meet their needs.
• Driver: Obtain delivery confirmations from each customer.
• Warehouse: Picking customer orders, loading vans and checks to ensure accuracy.
• Warehouse: Oversee dispatch of orders and coordinate van deliveries.
• Warehouse: Check and store supplier deliveries, inform shortages or damaged stock.
• Warehouse: Assist with stock takes and maintain clean, safe environment.

A position has recently become available for a Driver/Warehouse Operative to join our busy team. This is a dual role which requires the applicant to perform in either role when required in the Branch.

Ideally, the successful candidate should have previous experience working within a similar background of Warehouse or Commercial vehicle parts.

The working hours for this role are 04:30 - 13:30 Monday - Friday and alternate Saturday mornings 08:00 - 12:00.
