Job summary

NutraQ is seeking a Senior Data Engineer in Oslo, Norway, who will be responsible for designing, developing, and operating data transformations and data models. This role involves implementing data processing with SQL and Python while ensuring data quality and reliability. Job description

As part of our Data & Analytics team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and operating data transformations and data models across our modern data platform. You will play a key role in ensuring that data is reliable, scalable, and ready for analytics, reporting, and operational use cases.

As our new Senior Data Engineer, you will act as a lead within data processing and modeling, working closely with Data Engineers, Analysts, and stakeholders across departments such as Marketing, Finance, Supply Chain, IT and Customer Care.

We are on an exciting journey leveraging new tools, cloud capabilities, and AI technologies. In this role, you will be instrumental in realizing the full potential of these initiatives. .

Scope and main responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and operate reliable, scalable data transformations and models (e.g. Silver layer) in our modern data platform, including utilization of Copilot and other AI agents where relevant
  • Implement and optimize data processing using SQL, Python, and cloud technologies, with focus on performance and maintainability
  • Own data quality, consistency, and reliability, including root cause analysis and prevention of recurring issues
  • Define, maintain, and evolve data modelling standards, transformation patterns, and best practices
  • Ensure structured development processes, including version control, testing, deployment, and documentation using Git and CI/CD pipelines
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to align data models with integration, analytics, and reporting needs
  • Enable data for AI usage through proper data documentation, cataloging, and lineage to support governance and business understanding
  • Stay updated on new platform capabilities, including AI and Copilot features, and continuously improve existing solutions
  • Contribute to team delivery processes such as planning cycles, strategic targets and ad-hoc needs

You should have
  • Proven track record of data management, incl. performance and data quality
  • As a minimum started with LLM prompting as a part of your daily work
  • Confident with data pipelines and development pipelines (Git)
  • BSc or MSc in Computer Science, IT, or a similar technical field with strong academic results
Preferably (but not necessarily) you have
  • Experience with MS Fabric, Power Automate and/or Logic Apps
  • Experience with AI agent development and usage
  • Experience with Python/Notebooks for data processing
  • Experience with data documentation, cataloging and governance
  • Experience with subscription-based DTC business models
