An established academic institution is seeking a motivated PhD candidate to join the Concrete group within the Department of Structural Engineering. We have a vacancy for a PhD candidate at the Department of Structural Engineering, which has about 120 employees, including half PhD students and approximately 17 Postdocs and researchers.
This position will be affiliated with the Concrete group, a team of scientists dedicated to studying all aspects of concrete. The group conducts research on concrete from material to structural levels, utilizing theoretical, numerical, and experimental investigations. It is involved in several national and international research projects, collaborates closely with industry, and boasts extensive laboratory facilities with a rich history.
The candidate is expected to conduct research on concrete airfield decks exposed to frost, deicing chemicals, and impact loading.
