Job description

About Norwegian

The Norwegian group is a leading Nordic aviation company, owning two leading airlines in the Nordics: Norwegian Air Shuttle and Widerøe’s Flyveselskap. Norwegian operates an extensive network connecting the Nordics with major European cities, while Widerøe primarily serves short-runway airports in rural Norway, providing vital regional connectivity.

Our people are the heart of Norwegian. We embrace a culture of diversity, equality, and inclusion. This is essential to our success and makes us stronger together. Our people bring different knowledge, experiences, and backgrounds, but we all share a passion for our vision: to become the most loved and trusted airline in Europe.

Are you our new Director Product Management?

Are you passionate about shaping commercial product strategy, driving innovation, and maximizing high-margin revenue across millions of customer journeys in the airline industry?

At Norwegian, we’re seeking an experienced and commercially driven Director Product Management to join our Product & Customer Experience leadership team. This is a key role within our Commercial division, where you will directly lead the strategic vision, lifecycle management, and commercial performance of Norwegian’s entire ancillary product portfolio—from seating, baggage, and priority services to bundles, travel insurance, and innovative third‑party products and services.

As part of this team, you will play a central role in shaping how we develop and monetize customer products across our customer journey. You will lead and inspire our Ancillary Product management team, working in close collaboration with several internal stakeholders and external partners. If you are a visionary, commercially astute leader who thrives on turning strategic insight into bottom‑line growth, this is your chance to be at the commercial heartbeat of Norwegian.

You have proven expertise in end-to-end product lifecycle management, from concept ideation and profitability strategy to testing, go‑to‑market rollout, and continuous optimization. You know how to leverage customer data, conversion funnels, and dynamic merchandising to maximize profit per passenger while maintaining exceptional customer satisfaction. Furthermore, you are an inspiring leader who enjoys mentoring talent and building a high-performance, forward‑thinking team.

The Director Product Management role is located at Norwegian Air Shuttle’s head office at Fornebu, Oslo.

What is it like to work at Norwegian:

Norwegian’s vision is to be the most loved and trusted airline in Europe, and our people are key to achieving that goal. Here, you’ll find a diverse and dynamic workforce united by a shared purpose and passion for connecting people. No matter your role, you’ll make engaging connections every day. We care for, encourage, and cheer each other on, celebrating new ideas and different ways of doing things.

So, fasten your seatbelt, your next exciting career journey starts here!

What you’ll do:
  • Own and drive Norwegian’s multi-year ancillary product strategy and roadmap, aligned with company growth goals and brand vision.
  • Drive the complete product development lifecycle from customer research, business cases, and profitability to agile testing, launch, and post‑launch enhancement.
  • Own portfolio profitability, take‑up rates, conversion funnels, and revenue per passenger across all digital booking flows and customer touchpoints.
  • Leverage customer insights, booking data, A/B testing, and competitive benchmarking to identify emerging traveller trends and capture untapped revenue pools.
  • Build and oversee annual revenue targets, budgets, and forecasts, providing clear commercial governance and executive reporting.
  • Lead, coach, and mentor the Ancillary Product team, fostering a culture of innovation and commercial rigor.
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders such as Digital, IT, Revenue Management, Marketing, CX, Loyalty, and Operations to ensure seamless product delivery.
  • Identify, negotiate, and collaborate with external technology vendors, distribution platforms, and third‑party travel partners to expand product capabilities.
What you will bring (your profile):
  • Master’s degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent relevant experience).

  • 3–5+ years of demonstrated people leadership experience with a proven track record of developing high‑performing teams.
  • Proven track record of driving growth and portfolio profitability through structured product development, dynamic merchandising, strategies, and agile experimentation.
  • Highly analytical approach with the ability to turn complex commercial data and customer insights into decisive, actionable product roadmaps.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to influence and build alignment across diverse cross‑functional teams and executive stakeholders.
  • Excellent proficiency in English (written and spoken). Knowledge of a Scandinavian language is a plus.
Why you should join Norwegian:
