SLB Norge AS onshore Stavanger seeks a Drilling Engineer to develop optimized drilling plans and provide technical support across projects. The role emphasizes directional drilling, well trajectory design, and collaboration with customers and field teams to deliver safe, efficient operations.

You will work with multidisciplinary teams, drive optimization, and contribute to continuous improvement while maintaining high HSE and service standards in a dynamic, global environment.

Competenze

• Bachelor's degree in petroleum, mechanical, or related engineering discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of drilling engineering experience with emphasis on directional drilling.
• Experience with well design activities including trajectory design, anti-collision analysis, torque & drag modelling, hydraulics calculations, and BHA modelling.
• Experience using drilling engineering software and data analysis tools.
• Fluency in English.
• Norwegian language skills will be an advantage.

Mansioni

• Develop detailed drilling plans, including well trajectory design, bit selection, and BHA design.
• Perform engineering simulations and analyses including torque and drag modelling and hydraulics calculations.
• Support safe, efficient, and cost-effective drilling operations.
• Analyze drilling data and recommend improvements to enhance performance and reduce NPT.
• Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation measures.
• Provide real-time technical support during drilling operations.
• Collaborate with technical experts to optimize designs and operations.
• Support incident investigations, lessons learned, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Build and maintain strong customer relationships through technical consultation and support.
• Assist commercial and sales teams in evaluating technical solutions and tender opportunities.
• Identify opportunities for innovative technologies, value-added services, and cost-effective drilling solutions.
