Job summary

DNV Cyber in Oslo is seeking a Detection Engineer to develop and implement advanced detection capabilities for SIEM and XDR, and to build toolchains that strengthen client security.

You will work with Microsoft Sentinel, Splunk and related technologies, apply Python and KQL skills, collaborate in Security Operations, and help deliver high-end cyber defense services to diverse industries.

Qualifications

• Customer communication and value delivery in cyber security.
• Experience with SIEM and XDR technologies such as Microsoft security stack; other SIEM/XDR systems are welcome.
• Exposure to data engineering concepts (data collection, data lakes, ETLs, ML Ops).
• Experience with at least one scripting or programming language (Python or PowerShell) or writing queries with a language (KQL).
• Genuine passion for cybersecurity and staying up to date with trends.
• Innovative problem-solving, adaptability and collaboration.
• Fluent in English.
