Job summary

DNV Cyber is seeking a Detection Engineer to develop and implement advanced detection capabilities for SIEM and XDR, enhancing client security postures. You’ll help build both logic-based and ML-based rules and contribute to automated SOC tooling as part of a dynamic security operations team.

You will work with tools like Microsoft Sentinel and Splunk, using Python or KQL to craft detections, and you’ll engage with clients to translate cybersecurity value into measurable outcomes.

Qualifications

• Experience with security tools such as Microsoft Sentinel and XDR.
• Proficient in programming and query languages (e.g. Python and/or KQL).
• Customer communication skills with ability to create customer value in cyber security.
• Genuine passion for cybersecurity and willingness to stay up to date with trends.
