Job summary

Wärtsilä is seeking a Mechanical Engineer for Gate Rudder design, based in Rubbestadneset, Norway, with flexibility for Gdynia, Poland and other negotiable locations. You will lead mechanical work on Gate Rudder projects within the Propeller & Transmission Customer Delivery Engineering team.

Responsibilities include BOM definition, drawings, and developing in-house mechanical expertise while supporting sales engineering to deliver technically solid bids.

Qualifications

• BSc or MSc in Marine or Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent (documented relevant experience can compensate for lack of relevant education).
• Experience with Rudder systems will be considered an advantage
• Experience with design, operations, installation, and/or maintenance of Wärtsilä products will be considered an advantage.
