Job summary

Kongeparken in Rogaland, Norway is seeking a certified mechanic who can also lead a small team. As deputy to the Technical Manager, you will mix hands-on maintenance with people leadership, distributing tasks and keeping safety at the forefront.

You'll work on carousels and park equipment, troubleshoot gearboxes, hydraulics, belts and engines, and support daily park operations during the high season. Some evenings and weekends may be required.

Qualifications

• Must hold a formal trade certificate or equivalent in mechanics.
• Experience leading or guiding a team is preferred.
• Strong ability to troubleshoot mechanical issues to ensure guest safety.
• Structured and organized, able to manage workspaces and logistics.
• Proficient in Norwegian and English; Polish language helpful for team communication.

Responsibilities

• Serve as deputy to Technical Manager, leading and supporting a skilled team of about 7.
• Distribute tasks and ensure safe, efficient operations.
• Maintain and troubleshoot park equipment, including carousels, gearboxes, hydraulics, pneumatics, bearings, rollers, motors and engines.
• Work in the park environment, including physical activity and occasional heavy lifting.
• Evenings and weekends may be required to support shows and park readiness.
