Volue Energy is a leading provider of software solutions for forecasting, optimisation, production planning and energy trading. Our current client portfolio includes some of the largest power producers in more than 20 countries and we are expanding to new markets.

What you will be doing to make a difference
  • Manage, maintain, and optimise databases.
  • Handle database security, backup, and recovery routines.
  • Support database upgrades, migrations, and performance tuning.
  • Collaborate with development teams on database designs and improvements.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues.
  • Contribute to documentation and knowledge sharing.
  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement of development processes.
What you need to succeed
  • Bachelor/Master’s degree in Software Development or similar competence level
  • Several years of hands-on experience as a DBA, in Oracle and/or PostgreSQL.
  • Strong skills in database administration, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
  • Experience working with business-critical systems.
  • Experience with database development (PL/SQL or similar).
  • Structured, reliable, and proactive working style.
  • Good communication skills in English (written and spoken).
  • Familiarity with scripting and automation of database tasks.
  • Ability to support and advise developers and consultants.
  • Ability to collaborate across teams, locations, and cultures
