Job summary

dmg media seeks an experienced Data Architect to define and govern data architecture across its hybrid estate, spanning AWS, GCP, hosted data centres, and on‑premises systems. You will map data flows, enforce standards, and ensure governance through the Technical Design Authority (TDA).

The role sits in Architecture and Integration, reporting to the Enterprise Architect, with a focus on lakehouse patterns, AI/ML pipelines, and cross‑environment coherence.

Qualifications

• Experience designing and governing data architectures across cloud, hosted data centres and on‑premises.
• Hands‑on experience with AWS and GCP data services.
• Ability to engage early in project lifecycle and produce governance docs.
• Knowledge of lakehouse, Iceberg/Delta Lake, streaming/batch pipelines.
• Experience with AI/ML data infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Data flow mapping and optimisation across cloud, hosted, and on‑premises estates.
• Define data architecture standards and governance.
• Engage on projects from discovery through delivery with architecture reviews.
• Design across hybrid environments ensuring cross‑environment patterns and data contracts.
• Lead cloud data platform design for lakehouse patterns and AI/ML pipelines.
