Vår Energi is seeking a Cyber Security & Risk Manager to strengthen our IT & Digital organisation. You will lead cyber security governance, risk management and compliance across IT and OT, developing our security framework and helping the business manage cyber risk in a practical way.

You will collaborate with leaders, asset teams, and technology units to ensure risk is understood and considered in decision-making. This demanding role values strategic leadership and ongoing learning.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in cyber security, risk management and governance at senior management level.
• Experience with compliance, assurance and security frameworks.
• Experience from operational technology or critical infrastructure is advantageous.

About The Position

We are looking for a Cyber Security & Risk Manager to strengthen our IT & Digital organisation. In this role, you will be responsible for cyber security governance, risk management and compliance across information technology and operational technology. You will help further develop our cyber security framework and support the business in managing cyber risk in a practical and effective way. You will work closely with leaders, asset organisations and technology teams, helping ensure cyber risk is well understood and considered when decisions are made.

You are a strategic and collaborative leader who can balance business priorities, operational needs and security requirements in a complex environment.

You build trust through transparency and sound judgement and enjoy working with stakeholders across different disciplines and organisational levels. You are comfortable communicating complex risk topics in a clear and practical way, whether engaging with technical specialists, senior leaders or board-level stakeholders.

We are looking for individuals with an entrepreneurial mindset who are motivated by continuous learning, value creation and business impact. You should also have an interest in how digital technologies, data analytics and Artificial Intelligence can support better decision-making and business performance.

Background And Experience

• Relevant higher education within Cyber Security, Information Technology, Engineering or a related discipline is preferred
• Extensive experience in cyber security, cyber risk management and governance on senior management level
• Experience with compliance, assurance and security frameworks
• Experience from operational technology, the energy sector or other critical infrastructure is an advantage
