Job summary

CHC Helikopter Services in Sola near Stavanger, Norway, is seeking a Crew Planner to join the Operations Control Centre on-site. You will plan and optimise crew resources, ensure schedules meet requirements and budgets, and maintain planning systems while coordinating training needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HR, Business Administration or related field.
• Experience in crew planning, workforce planning, scheduling or people management.
• Fluency in Norwegian and English.
• Experience using AIMS or a comparable planning system.
• Strong IT skills and ability to manage competing priorities.
• Customer-focused and team-oriented.

Join our Operations Control Centre

CHC Helikopter Services is looking for an organised and proactive Crew Planner to join our Operations Control Centre team in Sola, near Stavanger.

This is an exciting opportunity to play an important part in the planning and coordination of crew resources within a dynamic aviation environment. You will support both short-term operational requirements and longer-term workforce planning, helping ensure that resources are deployed safely, effectively and cost-efficiently.

The position reports to the Manager, Crew Planning and offers opportunities for continued learning and development within the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

What will you be doing?

As a Crew Planner, you will:

• Plan and optimise crew resources across both short-term and long-term requirements
• Ensure crew schedules comply with company requirements, applicable legislation and agreed budgets
• Maintain and take ownership of crew planning and scheduling systems
• Coordinate and follow up on training requirements
• Prepare operational reports and workforce statistics
• Support administrative activities, including invoicing, salary changes and holiday schedules
• Work closely with operational colleagues and other stakeholders to support effective service delivery

Qualifications, Skills & Attributes

What are we looking for?

You will ideally have:

• A relevant bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Business Management or another related discipline
• Relevant practical experience that may compensate for the absence of formal qualifications
• Previous experience in crew planning, workforce planning, scheduling or people management
• Fluency in both Norwegian and English, written and spoken
• Experience using AIMS or a comparable workforce or crew planning system
• Strong general IT skills
• The ability to manage competing priorities, meet deadlines and remain calm under pressure
• Strong problem-solving, collaboration and decision-making skills
• Good financial awareness and the ability to plan resources cost-effectively
• A proactive, customer-focused approach and a strong commitment to teamwork

It would be an advantage if you have:

• Previous experience within aviation
• Knowledge of, or experience working with, Collective Bargaining Agreements
• Experience of working in a fast-paced operational or safety-critical environment
