The role?

The Crane Technician is responsible for conducting inspections, maintenance, and repairs of cranes and lifting equipment in various operational settings, ensuring compliance with safety and performance standards. This includes performing on-site evaluations and contributing to the overall success of projects through technical support and effective teamwork.

Our offshore project locations will include Norway, Denmark, The Netherlands and Germany.

Main Responsibilities & Key Result Areas

  • Execute crane and lifting equipment inspections, maintenance, and repairs in adherence to safety regulations.
  • Conduct fault diagnosis and troubleshooting of crane-related issues.
  • Complete and maintain accurate documentation of all service and repair activity.
  • Work collaboratively with project teams to achieve operational objectives.
  • Ensure compliance with all health and safety guidelines.
  • Engage in continuous professional development to enhance technical skills and knowledge.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to junior technicians and apprentices.
  • Actively participate in safety meetings and training sessions.

You are?

Essential:

  • Holder of an EU or EEA country passport
  • Minimum 5 years experience in crane operations or maintenance, ideally within the oil and gas or construction industries.
  • Competent in speaking, reading and writing in English.
  • Relevant mechanical or electrical qualification.
  • Proficient in fault-finding and troubleshooting.
  • Capability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Valid offshore certificates

Preferred:

  • Experience in offshore operations.
  • Additional safety certifications such as HSE, COMPEX, etc.
  • Familiarity with heavy lifting equipment and hoisting techniques.
  • Hydraulic experience
  • Relevant GWO papers
