Job summary

VirtualWorks Hub is seeking a Network and Systems Administrator to maintain and update our companys network and computer systems, troubleshoot issues, and ensure security and integrity of our infrastructure. You will monitor routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points, install hardware and software, back up data, and provide timely tech support to staff in a fast-paced environment.

This is a contract position located in Alta, Norway with visa sponsorship available for qualified

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role
• Strong knowledge of networking protocols TCP/IP LAN/WAN configurations and network security principles
• Experience with Windows and Linux operating systems
• Excellent troubleshooting skills
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain company network infrastructure including routers, switches, firewalls and wireless access points
• Troubleshoot network connectivity issues and ensure maximum uptime
• Manage network security measures including firewalls, anti-virus software and intrusion detection systems
• Install and configure new hardware and software on company computers
• Monitor system performance to ensure efficient operation
• Provide technical support to employees on hardware and software related issues
• Perform regular data backups to prevent loss of important information
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in network technology
