Job summary

NorthFox Technologies Ltd seeks an experienced commissioning engineer to lead CX activities on complex data center, offshore renewables, pharma and O&G projects. You will coordinate teams and vendors through CX stages, track progress, chair commissioning meetings, and ensure schedules are met.

The role requires strong English communication, a proven management record, and field travel. You will prepare commissioning plans and final reports, oversee testing, training, and documentation, and

Qualifications

• Must have HNC in Electronic and Electrical Engineering and at least 5 years of Cx experience as a lead Cx engineer for LV Switchgear & UPS.
• Demonstrated management experience in a similar role.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the Owner’s Commissioning Process.
• Review the Owner’s Requirements and Basis of Design.
• Prepare a Project Commissioning Plan.
• Review design documents to ensure project specs support the Commissioning Plan.
• Hold or attend regular commissioning meetings during design and construction.
• Ensure commissioning processes are implemented by trades as per specs.
• Oversee equipment pre-functional tests and start-ups.
• Oversee systems functional testing and training.
• Prepare the final commissioning report for the Owner.
• Assemble the Systems Manual if required.
• Maintain Health and Safety of the team and oversee quality documentation.

Overview of Position

• Working on projects with Cx activities while guiding your team & vendors through the Cx stages.
• Report to Client/Owner on Commissioning progression.
• Track Company Invoicing for assigned projects.
• Chair or attend commissioning meetings.
• Act promptly on items of work indicated in commissioning meeting minutes.
• Work with other team members to derive a realistic commissioning schedule.
• Ensure commissioning schedule is maintained.
• Provide required documentation promptly.
• Cooperate with the other commissioning team members to complete the project as efficiently as possible.

Primary Responsibilities

• Oversee the Owner’s Commissioning Process.
• Review the Owner’s Requirements and Basis of Design.
• Prepare a Project Commissioning Plan.
• Review design documents. Ensure that the project specifications are written to support the Project Commissioning Plan including detailed review and comment of trade specific commissioning sections particularly, the Mechanical Commissioning Agent’s specification section.
• Hold or attend regular design stage and construction phase commissioning meetings as required.
• Ensure that the commissioning process is implemented by the trades as per the project specification requirements.
• Review and comment on commissioning schedule (The Commissioning Manager may prepare the commissioning schedule).
• Oversee equipment pre-functional tests and start-ups.
• Oversee systems functional testing.
• Oversee training.
• Oversee seasonal testing.
• Prepare a final commissioning report for the Owner.
• Assemble the Systems Manual (if required).
• Responsible for Health and Safety of NFS Team Members
• Management of Quality Document Control, including logs and reports
• Awareness and reporting of environmental issues

Required Skills

Verbal and written communication skills in English, minimum,

Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Experience

HNC in Electronic and Electrical Engineering with at least of 5 year's of Cx experience as a lead Cx engineer, of LV Switchgear & UPS, experienced with Cx/completions software.

A proven management track record in a similar role
