Job summary

Reevr is seeking an experienced Commissioning Engineer with strong smoke control and ventilation system expertise to cover London and Greater London. This hands-on role involves installation, testing and commissioning across diverse building projects within the region.

You will install and commission AOVs, dampers and ventilation, balance systems, integrate with BMS and fire alarm systems, and review electrical drawings. A full UK driving licence and travel willingness are essential.

Qualifications

• Smoke control / smoke ventilation experience required.
• Experience commissioning AOVs, dampers and ventilation systems.
• Strong electrical installation and commissioning experience.
• Ability to read electrical drawings and schematics.
• Excellent fault-finding and troubleshooting skills.
• Knowledge of fire safety and building regulations.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across London.

Responsibilities

Commissioning Engineer – Smoke Control

Location: London & Greater London – travel required
Salary:£40k - £50k
Hours: Monday–Friday

We are looking for an experienced Commissioning Engineer with a strong background in smoke control and smoke ventilation systems.

This is a hands‑on role covering installation, testing and commissioning of smoke control systems across a variety of building projects throughout London and Greater London.

As a Commissioning Engineer, you will:

• Install and commission smoke control systems
• Commission AOVs, smoke dampers and ventilation systems
• Test, balance and troubleshoot systems
• Complete electrical wiring and power distribution
• Integrate systems with BMS and fire alarm systems
• Read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics
• Identify and resolve technical faults
• Ensure systems meet design and regulatory requirements
• Complete commissioning, service and progress reports
• Record airflow and system test results
• Work alongside Project Managers, Engineers, contractors and consultants
