Job summary

10x Banking in London is seeking a Software Engineer to work on cloud-native distributed systems, focusing on Java/Spring Boot, Kafka, and AWS in a hybrid setup with remote-friendly practices.

You will mentor juniors, deliver high-quality software in a fast-paced environment, and collaborate across teams to ensure scalable, secure banking backends. Strong engineering discipline and agile mindset required.

Qualifications

• Solid Java software development skillset, Java 21+ and Spring Boot 3.x.x.
• Test-driven development mindset; write unit/integration/functional tests for web services.
• Experience with Kafka and event-driven architecture.
• SQL databases, strong PostgreSQL knowledge.
• CI/CD with Gradle/Maven; modern development lifecycle for distributed cloud microservices.
• RESTful APIs design and building; production-grade JVM microservices.
• Knowledge of Docker/Kubernetes/Helm; AWS cloud experience.
• Proven ability to work in Agile/Scrum teams; write clean, maintainable code.

Responsibilities
