Job summary

Fair Insurance AS is seeking a Chief Operating Officer to drive the company’s operations post-merger, overseeing middle management and cross-functional workstreams across commercial insurance lines and product development. You will report to the CEO and shape the operating model, processes, and governance to scale the business.

In this senior role, you will partner with ABAX Group on technology and data capabilities while ensuring regulatory compliance across Norway and Sweden.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a senior operational or commercial leadership role, ideally within insurance, financial services, or a regulated industry.
• A strong track record of leading teams through periods of change or growth.
• Commercial mindset — you understand how insurance portfolios work and how to grow them.
• Structured and clear communicator, able to operate across functions and levels.
• Familiarity with the Nordic insurance market is an advantage.
• Fluency in Norwegian and English.

Responsibilities

• Leading and developing our middle management team.
• Delivering on commercial targets for 2026 and beyond, in line with our Business Plan 2029.
• Driving the operational integration following the merger — establishing clear processes, meeting rhythms, and ownership structures.
• Overseeing portfolio performance and revenue reporting across taxi and commercial vehicle insurance in Norway and Sweden.
• Partnering with the CEO on resource allocation, prioritisation, and escalation of commercial decisions.
• Working cross-functionally with ABAX Group on product roadmap, digital platform, and data quality.
• Ensuring regulatory compliance in close coordination with our Insurance Product Owner, across Norwegian (Finanstilsynet) and Swedish (FI) frameworks.

The COO role is central to executing this strategy. You will be joining at an inflexion point — post-merger, with a clear structure in place, a strong market position, and genuine tailwinds behind us.

The Role

As COO, you will be the operational engine of Fair Insurance AS. You will report directly to the CEO and hold full responsibility for our middle management team across both commercial insurance lines and product development. This is a senior leadership role with real accountability and real scope.
