Telemarkskanalen Skipsselskap, Dalen, Norway, is looking for a chef.

Job description

We are seeking an experienced chef who has worked independently in a smaller kitchen. You will be part of a team of 1-3 chefs working each day. It is essential that you are well-organized and capable of handling the stress associated with working alone on less busy days.

Our menu includes café food, pizza, and à la carte options for lunch and dinner.

Average working hours are 7.5 hours per day in Dalen, Telemark, Norway, at Dalen Bryggjekaf.

Salary starts from NOK 200 per hour plus additional benefits.

Telemarkskanalen Skipsselskap includes two casual dining restaurants: Dalen Bryggjekafè and M/S Henrik Ibsen, a historic cruise ship from 1907 with a full-service restaurant.

Dalen Bryggjekafé is a popular summer casual restaurant with a large outdoor area overlooking Lake Bandak, located at the end of the canal system.

The operations are dynamic, ranging from serving locals in the shoulder season to hosting several hundred guests daily during high season.

M/S Henrik Ibsen is one of two original canal cruise ships, offering à la carte lunch, snacks, and refreshments during its journey through 18 locks, elevating passengers 72 meters above sea level.

Telemarkskanalen Skipsselskap is owned and operated by Norwegian Hospitality Group.
