Job summary

We are seeking an Operations Lead based in Oslo to take full responsibility for national day-to-day operations, vendor networks, facility coordination, and regulatory compliance across Norwegian data center sites.

You will build standardized nationwide operational frameworks, ensuring all sites comply with Norwegian regulations, labor standards, and HMS requirements. This role reports to executive leadership and coordinates with regional site leads.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in an operations leadership or management role within Norway.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Industrial Economics, or related field.
• Deep understanding of the Norwegian Working Environment Act (Arbeidsmiljøloven) and HMS regulations.
• Fluency in Norwegian and English.
• Willingness to travel frequently to regional sites in Norway.

• Structure, audit, and enforce site-level compliance, HMS routines, and working-hour models to align with the Working Environment Act.

• Manage local and national vendor relationships, facility services, and logistics to ensure quality and cost efficiency.
• Develop nationwide incident response, business continuity, and risk mitigation frameworks for facility and operations disruptions.
• Track KPIs and report performance and compliance updates to executive leadership.

About the Role

We are seeking an Operations Lead based in our Oslo office to take full operational responsibility for our growing footprint across Norway. This is a high-impact position that bridges strategic management in Oslo with practical, on-the-ground execution at our regional data centre locations.

In this role, you will hold overall responsibility for our day-to-day national business operations, vendor networks, facility coordination, and operational compliance. A major immediate focus will be building and standardizing our nationwide operational frameworks—ensuring every site, project, and working arrangement strictly complies with the Norwegian regulations, local labor standards, and HSE (HMS) requirements.

What You’ll be Doing

National Operations Oversight: Own and manage day-to-day operations across all Norwegian sites and teams, establishing consistent standard operating procedures (SOPs) nationwide.

Regulatory & Compliance Leadership: Structure, audit, and enforce site-level compliance, health and safety (HMS) routines, and working-hour models to guarantee full alignment with the Norwegian Working Environment Act across all locations.

Oslo Hub to Regional Site Coordination: Serve as the central operational bridge based in Oslo, aligning corporate strategy with regional site leads, field technicians, and facility operators across Norway.

Vendor & Procurement Management: Manage local and national vendor relationships, facility service contracts, logistics, and supply chain needs to ensure quality and cost efficiency.

Risk & Emergency Management: Develop nationwide incident response, business continuity, and risk-mitigation frameworks for facility and operational disruptions.

Reporting & Performance Tracking: Track key operational metrics (KPIs) across Norway, reporting performance and compliance updates directly to executive leadership.

About You (Skills / Qualifications)

Experience & Education

National Operations Track Record: 5+ years of experience in an operations leadership, site operations, or operational management role managing operations within Norway.

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Industrial Economics, or a related field (equivalent practical experience valued).

Skills & Knowledge

Norwegian Labor Law & Regulatory Expertise: Deep practical understanding of the Norwegian Working Environment Act (Arbeidmiljøloven), regulatory bodies, and Norwegian HSE (HMS) regulations.

Process Design & Structuring: Proven ability to audit existing setups, identify non-compliances or gaps, and build structured operational frameworks from scratch.

Vendor & Stakeholder Management: Experience managing multi-site supplier networks, maintenance contracts, and facility budgets across different regions.

Core Traits & Languages

Language Fluency: Native or full professional fluency in Norwegian (essential for local regulatory bodies, contracts, and vendors) and English (for corporate reporting).

Execution & Structure: Pragmatic, hands-on manager who thrives on bringing order, clarity, and legal compliance to complex operational environments.

Willingness to Travel: Based in Oslo, but frequently travel to regional sites in Norway as needed.
