In this role, you’ll be a key contributor in NOBA’s management reporting, budgeting and analysis processes while driving efficiency through automation. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment and want to be part of a company that values innovation, teamwork, and professional growth, this is the opportunity for you.

About The Role

As a Business Controller, you’ll play a key role in shaping our financial processes and supporting strategic decision-making. You will be working with financial reporting and financial analysis, process improvements, and identifying opportunities to increase efficiency and profitability. You will collaborate closely with colleagues across departments to ensure financial and operational success.

You will report to the Head of Business Control Oslo.

Main tasks:

  • Financial Analysis: Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, risks, and opportunities. Provide insights and recommendations to improve financial performance, cost efficiency, and profitability.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Proactively engage with stakeholders to gather insights, requirements, and feedback related to financial performance, budgeting, and strategic initiatives.
  • Performance Tracking: Monitor business performance and track progress against targets. Provide regular reports to stakeholders, including management and shareholders.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Develop annual budgets in collaboration with other departments. Monitor and report on budget variances.
  • Finance Data Hub: Be in the centre of many of NOBAs most important projects providing financial data and analysis.
  • Process Efficiency and Automation: Identify opportunities to streamline financial processes and increase efficiency through automation. Develop tools, templates, and standardized routines to automate tasks like financial reporting, data analysis, and reconciliation.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting, including monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and internal management reports.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has a master’s degree in finance, Accounting, or equivalent
  • Has 3-5 years of relevant experience, for example in auditing, consultancy or business/financial controlling
  • Is fluent in Norwegian or Swedish and English

It’s a plus if you have:

  • Experience from banking or financial institutions
  • Experience working with Business Intelligence tools such as Power BI, Tableau and Databricks
  • Experience in process automation and efficiency improvements

Personal attributes:

To thrive in this role, we believe you have a strong analytical mindset and an eye for detail and accuracy. You communicate effectively with both internal and external stakeholders and are solution-oriented, always seeking ways to improve processes. You embrace change as a natural part of the work and are driven by the opportunity to challenge the status quo in a dynamic environment.

In addition to this, it is important to us that you recognize yourself in our values: we are wholehearted, we collaborate, and we take the lead.
