Job summary

Euronext is seeking a dedicated analyst for the Power Derivatives team at Nord Pool in Oslo to support development and scaling through market analysis and cross-functional projects.

You will collaborate with Sales, Product, Finance and Legal, monitor competition, and help onboard new clients, delivering clear reports and strategic input.

Ideal candidate has a master's degree, energy industry internship, fluent English, and strong data skills; Nordic languages a plus.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in business, economics, finance or engineering.
• At least one internship or work experience in energy, strategy consulting or a fast-growing business.
• Experience analysing data, creating reports and presentations, and working with large data sets.
• Fluent in English; French or a Nordic language is a plus.
• Strong interest in energy economics and power markets.
• Experience in project management.
• Excellent planning, organisational, problem-solving and time management.
• Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint; PowerBI is a plus.
• Fast learner with a proactive and entrepreneurial mindset; able to work autonomously.
• Ability to multitask and adapt to shifting priorities.

Job description

You Will Primarily Be Responsible For

• Supporting the development and scaling of the Power Derivatives business line through business development, market analysis and project coordination
• Collaborating with departments across Euronext Group, including Sales, Product, Finance and Legal, to ensure alignment and contribute to cross-functional initiatives
• Monitoring the competitive landscape, conducting screening analysis and reporting on business performance
• Undertaking market analysis to identify opportunities and customer needs, including desktop research, client meetings and conference attendance
• Analysing business performance, identifying improvements and proposing actionable solutions
• Supporting the onboarding process for new clients in collaboration with the Nord Pool sales team and Euronext membership department
• Producing high-quality materials (spreadsheets, presentations) to communicate results and recommendations
• Contributing to strategic initiatives such as expansion into new markets or the launch of new products

Your Profile

• Master’s degree or equivalent in business, economics, finance or engineering
• At least one successful internship or work experience in the energy industry, strategy consulting or a fast-growing business
• Experience analysing data, creating reports and presentations, and working with large data sets
• Fluent in English; French or a Nordic language is a plus
• Strong interest in energy economics, power markets and the energy sector
