Job summary

Kongsberg Discovery in Vestfold, Horten is seeking a Product Advisor to help shape autonomous underwater robotic solutions for demanding maritime environments. You will bridge operators, engineering teams, and commercial stakeholders, turning technology into customer value and ensuring products meet market needs.

You will define and refine product requirements, participate in verification and validation, and travel for field activities and conferences as needed, collaborating closely with Jotun

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Systems Engineering, Cybernetics, Electronics, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Experience in product development, technology development, or a related technical environment.
• Strong technical understanding and ability to work effectively across disciplines.
• Strong communication skills in both Norwegian and English.
• Genuine interest in turning technology into value for customers and operators.
• Experience from the maritime industry is beneficial but not required.

Responsibilities

• Support the development and evolution of autonomous underwater robotic products.
• Collaborate with Product Manager and Jotun to define and refine product requirements.
• Translate operational and market needs into clear product specifications.
• Contribute to systems engineering activities, product innovation, and capability optimization.
• Take ownership of projects and product-related activities.
• Participate in technical verification and product system validation.
• Travel for verification activities and relevant conferences.
