Energy As seeks an experienced SAS engineer to develop and revise documentation for safety and automation systems on offshore projects. You will produce Cauce and Effect diagrams, SCDs, loop drawings, and FEL work packages, ensuring technical accuracy and compliance.
You will coordinate with clients and vendors to identify optimal technical solutions, review designs, and manage offshore installation materials, while maintaining strict deadlines and quality standards.
Produce new documentation and drawings such as Cauce&Effect, System Control Diagrams (SCD) diagrams, loop drawings for process, Fire&Gas and safety systems; IS Loop Calculations.
Revise existing documentation and drawings.
Produce work packages for installation.
Produce deliverables for studies and Front End Loading (FEL) work.
Produce documentation for Safety and Automation Systems (SAS)
Discipline check and approval of produced documents and drawings in the project.
Order all automation materials needed for offshore installation, and must be able to understand P&IDs and drawings from different disciplines.
Discussions with Client and vendor representatives in order to find optimal technical solutions
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Automation/Cybernetics
7-12 years' experience with SAS systems in modification projects for systems in operation.
Modifications on offshore installations when in operation.
Control Room Design ( typically Automation part ), ISO 11064
Concept/Detail Studies and EPCIC(Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Installation and Completion) project phases.
Offshore system knowledge( process/electrical/telecom/utility systems, BPCS and SIS )
Technical requirements and tools from offshore operators
main suppliers technical solutions for SAS/IACS/OT( Emerson, Siemens, ABB, Kongsberg, Honeywell )
suppliers technical solutions for High and Voltage systems and philosophies for system design
IEC 61850 and latest protocols/interfaces (GOOSE, MMS, PTP,SV)
IEC 61508/61511- Safety Instrumented Systems
ISO 11064 - Human Factor Engineering
Cyber security in general and in special for electrical systems(IEC 62443 as IACS/OT)
relevant standards such as NPD, ATEX, IEC61892 and Norsok
