Automation
Responsibilities
- Perform automation design for Oil & Gas study projects, covering both Greenfield and Brownfield scopes.
- Assume the role of Automation Lead in studies when required.
- Define, specify, and design automation and SAS systems during the study phase.
- Develop key documentation such as philosophies, topologies, I/O budgets, and system descriptions.
- Create design documents including Cause & Effect diagrams, System Control Diagrams, and HMI sketches.
- Organize and participate in meetings, workshops, and reviews for the automation discipline.
- Liaise effectively with other disciplines, contractors, and clients.
Required Expertise
- Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant engineering discipline.
- A minimum of 6 years of experience in automation engineering for greenfield Oil & Gas or HVDC projects.
- At least 4 years of experience with automation and SAS system design activities and reviews.
- A minimum of 4 years of experience in automation engineering for O&G brownfield projects on the Norwegian Continental Shelf.
- Experience in automation system design from FEED or study phase projects.
- Deep knowledge of automation design according to standards like NORSOK, ATEX, PTIL, and IEC.
- Excellent communication skills and a cooperative, team-oriented work attitude suitable for a multicultural environment.
- Ability to work independently, with a systematic, accurate, and proactive approach.
- Valid EX and FSE certifications are required.
