Job summary

NES Advantage AS, on behalf of Aker Solutions, seeks an ATEX Inspector EIT / Commissioning Assistant for the Mongstad project. You will perform inspections of electrical and instrumentation installations on site and verify ATEX compliance.

You will prepare inspection reports, support commissioning to ensure safe system start-up, and assist the commissioning team while troubleshooting during commissioning. The role requires Ex Basic/Exi courses and relevant certifications.

Qualifications

• Certificate of Apprenticeship in Electrical or Instrumentation or a Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline.
• Completed Ex Basic and Exi courses.
• Preferably an Ex Inspection certification.
• Experience with field testing and commissioning activities.
• Good knowledge of the Mongstad Refinery site is an advantage.
• Strong practical and solution-oriented mindset.
• Good knowledge of Procosys and experience with Fusion.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections of electrical and instrumentation installations on site.
• Verify compliance with ATEX directives, applicable regulations, and project-specific requirements.
• Prepare and maintain inspection reports and related documentation.
• Support commissioning activities to ensure safe and compliant system start-up.
• Assist the commissioning team during the commissioning phase.
• Support troubleshooting and resolution of technical issues during commissioning.
