Job summary

Oslo Metropolitan University invites applications for a 100% permanent Associate Professor position in Transport Infrastructure Engineering within the Department of Built Environment. The successful candidate will lead teaching in predictive maintenance, smart transport infrastructure, and railway engineering and supervise at bachelor, master and PhD levels.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in civil engineering, structural engineering, transport engineering, or equivalent.
• Proven academic track record in research with dissemination/publication in the stated fields.
• Educational competence according to OsloMet guidelines.
• Norwegian, Swedish or Danish at B2 level and English proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Teach and supervise at bachelor’s, master’s and PhD levels and provide continuing education.
• Provide follow-up for students in practical training.
• Maintain and develop collaboration with the professional field.
• Teach predictive maintenance, smart transport infrastructure, railway engineering and related subjects.
• Perform academic administrative tasks.
• Contribute to department and OsloMet development and dissemination of research results.
