Job description

Are you up for a unique job under the Northern Lights?

Snowhotel Kirkenes is the only hotel in the world made entirely of snow and ice that is open 365 days a year. Located between the mountains and the Barents Sea, our hotel and activity center offer unforgettable Arctic adventures in every season — and now you have the opportunity to become a part of it!

As a King Crab Guide, your mission will be to lead guests on thrilling snowmobile sleigh tours across the frozen fjord, assist them in catching and enjoying fresh king crab, and ensure a safe and memorable experience. You will be the friendly face guiding guests through this unique Arctic adventure.

Your role is both exciting and responsible. You will prepare the changing rooms, care for guests outdoors and in the restaurant, and help with catching, preparing, and serving king crab. During the snowy season, you may also assist with snow removal and support other departments when needed.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has experience in tourism and loves meeting people from around the world
  • A European class B driving license
  • Has a valid Class S snowmobile license (or driver’s license B before 2006)
  • Is physically strong (able to lift up to 25 kg) and enjoys the cold (down to -30°C!)
  • Is calm, flexible, with a “can-do” spirit and a great sense of humor
  • Is fluent in English (other languages are a plus)

We offer:

  • Seasonal contract with potential extension
  • Exciting work with guests and staff from all over the world
  • Basic work clothing and equipment
  • Assistance in finding accommodation (may require private market application)
  • Salary and benefits according to collective agreement
  • A diverse work environment surrounded by Arctic nature and culture
  • Training and development opportunities
  • Friendly colleagues who believe in having fun at work
