About The Job

Innovex designs, manufactures, and installs mission-critical drilling & deployment, well construction, completion, production, and fishing & intervention solutions to support upstream onshore and offshore activities worldwide. Our "No Barriers" culture empowers our teammates and customers to take calculated risks; enables them to eliminate inefficiencies; and inspires them to solve problems – all resulting in mutual success.

We are seeking a skilled and self-driven Applications Engineer to join our team in Norway. This role will involve providing pre-job analysis, technical proposals, and post-installation support across the Drilling, Well Construction, and Completion product lines. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise with a minimum of 2 to 3 years’ experience, with excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate across various teams to deliver cost-effective solutions for our customers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Pre-Job Analysis & Proposals: Conduct thorough technical assessments for drilling, well construction, and completion services. Prepare and deliver detailed technical proposals tailored to customer needs.
  • Technical Presentations & Sales Support: Serve as a technical resource for the Sales team, providing technical guidance and support. Deliver clear and engaging technical presentations to customers and internal teams. Analyse post-installation data and investigate operational issues to identify corrective actions. Recommend preventive measures to optimize performance and reduce future risks.
  • Operational Support: Ensure that product information is communicated effectively to the operational team and assist field technicians as needed. Provide occasional out-of-office hours support as required by operational needs. Work closely with the Engineering team to translate customer requirements into cost-effective solutions. Interface with Sales, Marketing, and Manufacturing teams to align on product specifications, priorities, and customer needs. Contribute to case studies and support new product roll-outs.
  • Sales & Operations Assistance: Assist the regional Sales & Operations team with day-to-day activities, including tool preparation, proposal creation, and customer meetings. Ensure proper storage and organization of all pre- and post-run data within the Innovex database.
What We’re Looking For:
  • Technical Expertise: Broad knowledge of well construction products, completion systems, and their applications. Experience in torque & drag, string mechanics, and hydraulic analysis is preferred.
  • Problem-Solving: Analytical mindset with a scientific approach to resolving technical challenges. Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex technical information clearly. Self-motivated with the ability to work effectively in a time-sensitive and collaborative team environment. Engineering degree and relevant field experience preferred.

While the role is based in Norway, strong verbal and written English skills would be advantageous.
