Job summary

Oslo University Hospital's Department of Immunology invites applications for a 3-year researcher position funded by the South-Eastern Norway Regional Health Authority. The successful candidate will join a multidisciplinary team developing antibody-based immunotherapies against invasive fungal diseases, using antibody engineering, in vivo models and advanced imaging to study antifungal immunity.

Qualifications

  • PhD in immunology with strong focus on B- or T-cell biology and antibody engineering.
  • Experience with cloning, plasmid design, and CRISPR-Cas9 is essential.
  • Proficiency in flow cytometry for single-cell sorting and phenotyping.
  • Experience with BCR sequencing or bioinformatics pipelines.
  • Preclinical experience with transgenic models; FELASA C or equivalent.
  • Microscopy or imaging experience is advantageous.
  • Experience with fungal infection models is an advantage.

Responsibilities

  • Engineer antifungal antibodies to strengthen immune defense in immunocompromised hosts.
  • Develop antibody-based probes and imaging tools to detect fungal targets and immune engagement.
  • Study T and B cell bases of antifungal immunity using knock-in models and live imaging.
