Job summary

Balchem is seeking a Quality Control Laboratory Technician to perform analytical testing of raw materials, in-process samples, stability samples, and finished products to ensure compliance with specifications and quality standards.

You will work with HPLC, IR, Karl Fischer, TLC, and other techniques in a modern ISO-accredited laboratory, contributing to investigations, method verification, and continuous improvement across the site.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Analytical Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Biotechnology, Chemical Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 2 years in analytical laboratory or process lab within industrial manufacturing, pharmaceutical, biotech, food, or chemical industries.
• Hands-on experience with HPLC and wet chemistry; GC is a plus; CDS software experience is an advantage.
• Knowledge of ISO 17025 or similar regulated environments preferred.
• Strong troubleshooting skills for OOS/OOT/non-conforming results; English fluent; Norwegian language a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform testing of raw materials, in-process, and finished products to verify specifications.
• Conduct analytical testing using HPLC, IR, Karl Fischer, TLC, and other approved methods.
• Investigate OOS/OOT and atypical results per approved procedures.
• Perform stability testing and maintain stability records.
• Record and review results ensuring data integrity and procedure adherence.
• Maintain and calibrate QC instruments; participate in interlaboratory studies.
• Support continuous improvement and cross-functional site development activities.
