Job summary

PTGR AG in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, is seeking an AI Specialist to design, develop, and deploy AI-driven solutions across our digital services and operations. You will work on ML models, data analytics, and integration into our product stack, delivering automation, insights, and innovation.

The role requires strong Python proficiency and hands-on experience with ML libraries, data pipelines, cloud services, and APIs, plus collaborative skills to work with IT, product, and business teams.

Qualifications

3+ years of AI/ML or data science experience.
Proficiency in Python and ML libraries (TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn).
Experience with data pipelines, cloud services, and APIs.
Strong analytical and collaboration skills.
Experience in fintech or blockchain is a plus.

Responsibilities

Design, implement, and optimize AI and machine learning models for business applications.
Analyze large datasets to extract actionable insights and improve processes.
Collaborate with IT, product, and business teams to integrate AI solutions into workflows.
Maintain, monitor, and improve deployed AI models for accuracy, scalability, and performance.
Research emerging AI technologies and recommend innovative solutions for adoption.
Document AI workflows, processes, and model performance for internal teams.
